Charter Of The Community Reinvestment Act Committee

Purpose Of The Committee

The purpose of the Community Reinvestment Act Committee of the Board of Directors of Hawaii National Bank (the "Bank") is to assist the Board of Directors in ensuring that the Bank fulfills its responsibilities under the Community Reinvestment Act ("CRA").

Composition Of The Committee

The CRA Committee shall be comprised of at least three members.

Meetings

The CRA Committee shall meet at least four times a year.

Responsibilities

The CRA Committee's responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing the Bank's assessment area to ensure that low-to-moderate income neighborhoods are not arbitrarily excluded.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the Bank's performance in helping to meet the credit needs of all the communities the Bank serves.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the Bank's investment and service performance.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the Bank's outreach and marketing efforts.
  • Reviewing comments from the public on the Bank's record in meeting its obligations under CRA.
  • Working with Management to maintain a constructive dialogue with community members.
  • Reviewing this Charter at least annually.
