Tan Tek Lum

Tan Tek Lum is President and Director of Lum Yip Kee, Limited, a family real estate investment company established by his grandfather. Mr. Lum has served on the Board since 1987. He chairs the CRA Committee and is a member of the Discount (Loan), Audit and Corporate Governance, Executive, and Compensation Committees. Mr. Lum also serves on the Board of Hawaii National Bancshares, Inc., the parent company of Hawaii National Bank.

Mr. Lum is well known in real estate circles, both locally and nationally. He consults on matters involving complex real estate appraisals and arbitrations. In Hawaii, Mr. Lum is currently licensed as a Real Estate Broker and a Certified General Appraiser. He has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation of the Institute of Real Estate Management and was invited to membership of The Counselors of Real Estate, holding its CRE designation. He has also been the past President of the Honolulu Board of Realtors and the Hawaii Association of Realtors.

Mr. Lum is also Chairman and Trustee of the Louise L. and Y.T. Lum Foundation. In addition, he is a Director of the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter, and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.

Mr. Lum graduated from Stanford University (AB) and has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
