Arthur C. Tokin was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hawaii National Bank in 2005. He chairs the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Discount (Loan), CRA, Executive, and Compensation Committees.
Mr. Tokin is a former managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Honolulu office and is a nationally recognized expert in strategic planning, financial accountability, corporate governance, and real estate. He is a past chairman of the Hawaii State Board of Accountancy and holds memberships with the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Active in community service, Mr. Tokin currently serves as President of The Foundation for the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, Treasurer of the Children’s Discovery Center and the Pacific Asian Affairs Council, and Director of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation. He is a member of the Advisory Board, School of Accountancy, at the University of Hawaii and the Dean’s Circle of Excellence, College of Business, at Oregon State University. Other memberships include the Armed Forces Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Hawaii Hotel Association, The Deputies, Navy League, and Japan Economic Council.
Mr. Tokin, a former U.S. Marine Corp captain and Vietnam Veteran, received his BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington. He has a MBA from Oregon State University and has received the Hall of Fame Award from the College of Business, Oregon State University. Mr. Tokin is a licensed CPA in Hawaii and Guam.
