Directors and Management

Michael (Mike) K. Kawamoto is an Executive Vice President at Hawaii National Bank. As the Senior Loan Administrator, he is responsible for overseeing the Corporate Banking, Loan Administration, Loan Services Administration, Credit Administration, and Special Assets departments.

Mr. Kawamoto joined the Bank in 2000. Prior to that time, he held executive management positions with other major financial institutions in Hawaii.

Arthur C. Tokin was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hawaii National Bank in 2005. He chairs the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee and is a member of the Discount (Loan), CRA, Executive, and Compensation Committees.

Tan Tek Lum is President and Director of Lum Yip Kee, Limited, a family real estate investment company established by his grandfather. Mr. Lum has served on the Board since 1987. He chairs the CRA Committee and is a member of the Discount (Loan), Audit and Corporate Governance, Executive, and Compensation Committees. Mr. Lum also serves on the Board of Hawaii National Bancshares, Inc., the parent company of Hawaii National Bank.

Arthur S.K. Fong is a practicing attorney and the General Partner of Fong & Fong, Attorneys at Law. His law firm emphasizes arbitration, mediation, masterships, and referee services at the request of the Courts and litigation attorneys, and acts as consultant and co-counsel to other attorneys in business practices, litigation, real estate, and employment matters. A Director since 1991, Mr. Fong chairs the Executive and Compensation Committees. He is a member of the Discount (Loan), Audit and Corporate Governance, and CRA Committees.

William (Bill) S. Chee is the Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Locations LLC, one of the State's largest real estate firms providing residential brokerage, relocation, property management, and property research. He has been a Director of Hawaii National Bank since 1990 and is a member of the Bank's Audit and Corporate Governance, Executive, and CRA Committees.

Warren K.K. Luke was elected to the Board of Directors of Hawaii National Bank in 1971. He joined the Bank a year later, serving in various capacities, and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 1992 and Chairman of the Board in 1999. He formed Hawaii National Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company, in 1987, and has served as its President since its inception.
